stalked diaries
My name is Lindsey and I am a stalking victim. I'd like to note and convey I am not a licensed psychiatrist, therapist, nor am I involved with law enforcement. I've had a stalker for 3 years, and I'm hoping to offer others in a similar situation support, insight, suggestions and references to outside help resources. Being a victim of stalking can bring with it feelings of confinement, isolation, and loneliness. While searching for help, I found there weren't stalking support groups online or locally for that matter. There was help for victims of domestic abuse, however my case is not (as one police officer put it) "typical". Most stalking cases are domestically related. If your situation does not meet the stereotypical criteria, it unfortunately may not get much attention from law enforcement. In my experience, despite the amount of very helpful therapy and psychiatry I've sought to aid me in coping with my situation, I believe the only individuals who can relate to that of a stalking victim, is a fellow stalking victim. With that, I will be sharing posts detailing my experiences, what I've learned about stalking laws, law enforcement, the legal system.... along with emotions, thoughts and feelings relating to mental health I've been faced with and worked through.
I'd enjoy nothing more than to help another going through a difficult time. I'm happy to dedicate this blog to & for all stalking & abuse victims, as well as those struggling with mental health; in hopes of providing a sense of community, comfort, peace & ease,
